SPEAKER’S BUREAU

The Speaker’s Bureau works with San Diego’s diverse activist, nonprofit, and academic communities to provide opportunities to discuss important issues relevant to the United Nations and international affairs.

  • Join us for our bi-monthly Sundays in the Park Speaker’s Series. Since we began in spring 2007, we have hosted several exciting presentations on issues ranging from the crises in Uganda and Darfur, the situation in Myanmar, and global warming, including a public showing of LiveEarth. Our speakers have included outstanding faculty from the University of San Diego and the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, and nonprofit experts from organizations including the Campaign to End the Genocide in Uganda, EarthRights International, Thailand, Invisible Children, and Trade Unions Burma, Thailand.
  • UNASD has members who are expert in international issues and are available to speak to your group or class on matters of current international significance, such as relations between the US and the U.N., global education, international law, the war in Iraq, and the role of women in international affairs.
