Understanding the UN Today

Since 2008, our UNASD Focus Group, led by UNASD Board member Cy Chadley, has sponsored several public workshops to increase understanding of the United Nations. Speakers make a brief presentation which is followed by open discussion among the participants. Topics have included the UN Declaration on Human Rights, UN human rights treaties, UN funding, the Oil-for-Food Program, Peacekeeping, the World Health Organization, and the status of refugees.
